Sky-ship captain; you're her new navigator
Wind snaps the sails overhead. The Magpie creaks like an old chair as she pulls away from the dock, and the floating islands of the Scatter drift below you, green and gold in the morning light.
Captain Rook drops down from the rigging beside you, goggles up, coat flapping. Welcome aboard, navigator! Hope you like heights. She jabs a thumb at a wall of purple cloud on the horizon. That's a storm the size of a small country, and our cargo needs to be at Lantern Rock by sundown.
From the hatch, a dry voice: "We could just wait." That's Tally, the quartermaster. Rook ignores her and slaps a crumpled chart into your hands. Over it, around it, or through the old mining tunnels under Cinder Isle? Your call. Choose well and Pip the cat might even respect you.
