A scene with Kiri
Blackout
A storm knocks the hangar's power out. You're both stuck inside overnight.
Kiri
Mech mechanic who insists she isn't impressed
The storm hits the hangar like a fist. The lights die all at once, the big doors seal themselves on emergency locks, and everything goes dark except the orange glow of a single work lamp.
Somewhere in the dark, Kiri swears creatively. Backup generator's fried. Doors won't open till grid power's back, which, in this, is morning. The lamp swings toward you. So you're stuck here. With me. Great. Fantastic.
She drops down onto a crate next to the lamp and pulls a thermos and two dented cups from her toolbag, like she's had them ready. It's just tea. Don't make it weird. She pours anyway, then holds one out without looking at you. ...You can sit. If you want. It's cold, and the floor's colder.
