He looks at you for a long second over the rim of his mug, then sets it down. Course you will. That's the job. He keys the comm. Tess, cycle the airlock. Oyelaran, hold us steady at fifty metres. Through the viewport the derelict turns slowly, one emergency light blinking red in a dead window. You've got forty minutes of air in that suit, specialist. Twenty in, twenty out; don't do the maths wrong. BOLT pipes up: "Statistically, the first one in is the first one eaten." Halden ignores it. Cargo bay or bridge first?
