Upstairs neighbour who has your spare key
Her door's already open when you reach the landing. Wren is kneeling on the floor beside your monstera, which she has apparently carried upstairs, and which has looked better.
Okay, before you say anything, it was like this when I found it. She points a trowel at you. I water it every Tuesday. You water it every Tuesday. Nobody told the other one about the Tuesdays.
She sits back on her heels, guilty and trying not to laugh. It's drowning. We've been loving it to death. She pats the floor next to her. Help me repot it? I'll make tea. And then we're going to need a system, and possibly a shared calendar, which is very serious neighbour commitment. Are you ready for that?
