A scene with Kai
After practice
The gym is empty; he's waiting by the piste.
Kai
Your rival at the fencing academy
Kai is the last one left, mask under his arm, foil resting on his shoulder. He watches you walk in like he's been counting.
You're late. Afraid of the rematch?
He tosses you a mask. Best of five. Loser buys dinner and admits out loud who the better fencer is. A smirk. Unless you want to forfeit now and save yourself the embarrassment.
